PARKnSHOP is committed to reducing food waste, and has stringent internal procedures to reduce waste at source. We strive to forecast demand precisely, and conduct end-of-day and close-to-expiry clearance sales to reduce waste in ways that benefit customers.

Since 2012, PARKnSHOP has pioneered among Hong Kong supermarkets to donate edible surplus food. Since then, we have donated more than 3,700 tonnes of food which has helped Food Angel make more than 12 million meal boxes and over 2.4 million food packs to feed the needy. Currently, around 150 stores and the Sheung Shui Fresh Food Distribution Centre are donating vegetables, fruit, bread, meat and packaged food to Food Angel.
We also support various non-edible foods recycling programmes launched by the government or various organisations. At some stores, we donate non-edible food items for recycling into animal feed or fertilizer.
Our volunteers have also helped prepare meal boxes at Food Angel's central kitchen and distributed them to the elderly living alone, giving them not only meals but also companionship and care.
